KNOW YOUR SKILL LEVEL AND BOATS CAPACITY

Note this was a 10 ft pontoon boat made for fly fishing.
The first picture was a guy that had only ran a pontoon 3 times and was told a bunch of time's not to do this. Fortunately he is God fearing, and popped up 40' below. It took another 2 min.s for the pontoon to come out of it. Very cool! The pontoon Cartwheeled 3 times all the way across the rapids and back. It landed right side up, and floated to the guy and he finished the ride. He never smoked cigs until this ride.

He did scout it, and had another very experienced rafter in front of him. He just should not have been there to begin with. His skill level is about class 2's and he thought he was better. He made the rest of the trip, but went around anything bigger than a class 1/2.
I think he will stick to lakes from now on.

One thing I should tell you is I have been over it several times on the 12' Rapidcat I use. I just miss the big water hydraulics and the rock by about 8 ft to the right.
I got to tell ya though, it is great testimony for the tubes and d-rings. If you look closely the tube on the left is fully inflated and bent at about 30 degrees, at the rear d-ring. The frame was one of my new powder-coated, and not a scratch.

Jack's Note
This is just not a large enough boat for this kind of white water. The operator's skill level and judgment were not up to the challenge. This is a case where he just did not have a clue. I hope that who ever this is will forgive me for using him as an example. He lived, or I would not have done this.
