JPW Team Canvas Back advances to the Semi Finals in the Waves to Water Competition

Unfortunately we did not make it to the Finals.

This challenge grant was one of the most difficult and interesting things that we have designed and worked on. It has all kinds of metal fab ideas that are part of this interesting inflatable device that was designed to operate under the surface of the ocean to convert wave energy to desalinated water.

This is the Video presentation that we made showing the progress toward the final part of the competition.

Jack’s Plastic Welding Inc is excited to announce Team Canvasback is an ADAPT Stage winner of the @ENERGY #WavesToWater Prize! 🌊➡️💧 Learn how our concept could revolutionize #WavePowered #desalination for disaster scenarios, coastal communities. Next up, the CREATE Stage! https://americanmadechallenges.org/wavestowater/adapt.html]

Have a look at our entry to the contest by viewing this 2-minute video.  It is unique because it is the only one that utilizes the pressure of the moving waves to pump water through a reverse osmosis system.   In the create phase we will be testing the prototypes that we built to make sure that they function properly.
